Initial edit of Part I is complete!
The initial editing of Part I (articles 1 - 284) is now complete!
That means I've gone over each article at least once, word-by-word, adding full tashkīl, segmenting the text, and marking up dicta (i.e. examples introduced by وَذلِكَ قَوْلُكَ or similar), quoted words or phrases (typeset in red), cited poetry, and Quranic verses.
The segmentation is inspired by Translation Memory eXchange (TMX) and XLIFF segmentation. For more information see Translation Memory, Segmentation Rules eXchange or search "XLIFF segmentation" or "TMX segmentation". I don't actually use TMX or XLIFF tools (currently), but I have found that segmenting the text not only makes translating a little easier, it also often renders the original text more readable (if suitably typeset).
Next up: translation of Part I and initial editing of Part II. It will take months to complete the initial edit of Part II, so the priority for now is to get the translation started.
