| هٰذَا بَاْبُ الاِسْتِقَاْمَةِ مِنَ الْكَلَاْمِ وَالْإِحَاْلَةِ | 1٨١٧٠٦ | this is the topic of consistency of speech and distortion | 
| فَمِنْهُ | 2٩٠٠١١ | so of it is: | 
| مُسْتَقِيْمٌ حَسَنٌ | 3٩٠٤٤٩ | consistent and well-formed | 
| وَمُحَاْلٌ | 4٨٥٥٠٩ | and distorted | 
| وَمُسْتَقِيْمٌ كَذِبٌ | 5٢٧٥٥٩ | and consistent and mendacious | 
| وَمُسْتَقِيْمٌ قَبِيْحٌ | 6١٥٠٢٦ | and consistent and malformed | 
| وَمَا هُوَ مُحَاْلٌ كَذِبٌ | 7٣٩٠٥٣ | and what is distorted and mendacious | 
| فَأَمَّا الْمُسْتَقِيْمُ الْحَسَنُ | 8٦٩٤٨٤ | well as for what is consistent and well-formed | 
| فَقَوْلُكَ أَتَيْتُكَ أَمْسِ | 9٤١٤٩٩ | 
                     
                     well your saying
                      Ɂatay-tu-ka ˀamsi
                         «I came to you yesterday» 
                      | 
               
| وَسَآتِيْكَ غَدًا | 10٢٤٤٣٦ | 
                     
                     and
                      sa-Ɂātī-ka gadᵃⁿ «I will come to you tomorrow» 
                      | 
               
| وأَمَّا الْمُحَاْلُ | 11٦٣٢٩١ | and as for what is distorted | 
| فَأَنْ تُنْقَضَ أَوَّلُ كَلَاْمِكَ بِآخِرِهِ | 12٥١٦٣٦ | well, that the first of your speech be unraveled by its last | 
| فَتَقُوْلَ *أَتَيْتُكَ غَدًا | 13٢١٠٥٣ | 
                     
                     so you say
                     * Ɂatay-tu-ka gadᵃⁿ *«I came to you tomorrow» 
                      | 
               
| وَ*سَآتِيْكَ أَمْسِ | 14٠١٦٨٨ | 
                     
                     and
                     * sa-Ɂātī-ka ˀamsi
                         *«I will come to you yesterday» 
                      | 
               
| وَأَمَّا الْمُسْتَقِيْمُ الْكَذِبُ | 15٥٤٨٨٢ | and as for what is consistent and mendacious | 
| فَقَوْلُكَ حَمَلْتُ الْجَبَلَ | 16٧٨٦٣٥ | 
                     
                     well your saying
                      ḥamal-tu _l-jabalᵃ «I carried the mountain» 
                      | 
               
| وشَرِبْتُ مَاْءَ الْبَحْرِ | 17٤٤٣٩٢ | 
                     
                     and
                      šarib-tu māɁᵃ _l-baḥrᵢ «I drank the water(s) of the sea» 
                      | 
               
| وَنَحْوُهُ | 18٢٥٨٥٦ | and the like of that | 
| وَأَمَّا الْمُسْتَقِيْمُ الْقَبِيْحُ | 19٥٧٣٣٥ | and as for what is consistent and malformed | 
| فَأَنْ تَضَعَ اللَّفْظَ في غَيْرِ مَوْضِعِهِ | 20٢٤٣٤٩ | 
                     
                     well, that you
                     situate
                         lit. “put, place” 
                     the vocalization in other than
                     its situation
                        مَوْضِع lit. “locus of putting”

| نَحْوُ قَوْلِكَ قَدْ زَيْدًا رَأَيْتُ | 21٥٥١٨٠ | 
                     
                     like your saying
                     * qad zaydᵃⁿ raɁaẙ-tu
                         *«Have Zayd I seen» 
                      | 
               
| وَكَيْ زَيْدٌ يَأْتِيَكَ | 22١٣٦٠٩ | 
                     
                     and
                     * kay zaydᵘⁿ yaɁtiyᵃ-ka
                         *«Zayd that come to you» 
                      | 
               
| وَأَشْبَاْهُ هٰذَا | 23١٢٢٤٥ | and things-similar to this | 
| وَأَمَّا الْمُحَاْلُ الْكَذِبُ | 24٥٠٩٠٥ | and as for what is distorted and mendacious | 
| فَأَنْ تَقُوْلَ | 25٦٨٨٣٥ | well that you say | 
| سَوْفَ أَشْرَبُ مَاْءَ الْبَحْرِ أَمْسِ | 26٦٧١٨١ | 
                     * sawfa Ɂašrabᵘ māɁᵃ _l-baḥrᵢ ˀamsi
                         *«I shall drink the water of the sea yesterday»
