Update: bāb 52

Just uploaded a revised version of article 52 هٰذَا بَاْبُ مَا يُضْمَرُ فِيْهِ الْفِعْلُ الْمُسْتَعْمَلُ إِظْهَاْرُهُ بَعْدَ حَرْفٍ with many corrections to the tashkīl and segmentation. This article has a lot to say about الْجَزَاء al-jazāˀ “requital”, i.e. the conditional, which is not explicitly addressed until article 245 هٰذَا بَاْبُ الْجَزَاْءِ.

Of particular interest: segments 201-235, which compare لَوْ law and إِنْ ˀin. This is notable because Sībawayhi does not list لَوْ as a “conditional” particle in article 245. Furthermore although he devotes dedicated articles to many specific terms like وَ wa, فَ fa, إنَّ ˀinna, أَنَّ ˀanna and others, he conspicuously omits لَوْ from such treatment – there is no بابُ لَوْ bābu law.
